Solidarity with Aisha Abdel Gawad!

Solidarity with Aisha! See below for our statement, this is just a cover photo it's not important.

We, the Connecticut members of the Northeast Anarchist Union, support the inalienable rights of free association and free speech and stand in solidarity with Aisha Abdel Gawad.

Aisha is a teacher and award-winning author who was the subject of an extensive hate and smear campaign that resulted in her termination as writer-in-residence at a Connecticut library. Now, even her career as an educator is under attack. Why? Because she had privately withdrawn from a panel discussion on her book at an Albany literary festival.

Aisha felt she needed to because of deeply held moral outrage at the unfettered violence being done by the Israeli government on millions of civilians, a vast portion of whom are kids. And she’s not alone. Two-thirds of people in the United States want to stop arming the Israeli genocidal war machine. And we, the Northeast Anarchist Union, join them in opposition to the genocide in Gaza, and we oppose the persecution of the people who speak out against the unspeakable violence. Free Palestine!
